1. Увеличение запасов основного капитала в экономике страны с целью достижения роста объемов производства. Скорость накопления капитала - важный показатель уровня экономического роста в стране. Раздел экономической науки под названием « экономика развивающихся стран» (см. Development economics) уделяет большое внимание определению оптимальных темпов накопления капитала, тому, какой капитал и инвестиции требуются конкретной развивающейся стране для ускорения экономического развития. В развитых странах на решения частного сектора по инвестициям и сбережениям в той или иной степени влияют процентные ставки, и, следовательно, государство может их регулировать. Государство само делает вло- жения в инфраструктуру страны. Такой прямой вклад в накопление капитала и косвенное регулирование инвестиций в частном секторе возлагает на государство ответственность за выбор правильного пути достижения оптимального экономического роста. Большое значение также имеет характер накопления капитала - его углубление или расширение (см. Capital widening, Capital deepening). 2.
